Zuma Lift Service is a leading provider of aerial lift equipment sales and service in the Fraser Valley/Vancouver area. We specialize in sales, service and repair of boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telescopic forklifts. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage our daily financial transactions and support our accounting operations.
We are seeking a Bookkeeper to oversee the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), reconciliations, and tax compliance. This role is responsible for processing transactions, maintaining financial records, supporting the Controller with reporting, and assisting with general office duties. The ideal candidate is organized, highly detail-focused, and proactive in maintaining financial accuracy across multiple accounts and currencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP) & Vendor Management
- Process vendor bills and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Conduct monthly vendor reconciliations to ensure balances are correct.
- Ensure accuracy of purchase orders, verifying correct pricing, quantities, and approvals.
- Ensure correct sales tax is paid and remitted on vendor invoices.
Accounts Receivable (AR) & Customer Billing
- Process customer invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy.
- Ensure sales tax is correctly charged and collected on all transactions.
- Email customer statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
Reconciliations & Financial Record-Keeping
- Reconcile daily deposits for multiple bank accounts and credit cards, including multiple currencies (CAD/USD).
- Reconcile vendor bills, expenses, and general ledger accounts on a daily basis.
- Maintain accurate sales orders and ensure proper invoicing procedures.
- Perform monthly financial reconciliations, supporting the Controller with financial statement preparation.
- Ensure all data entry and maintenance of financial records is up to date.
Tax & Compliance Support
- Ensure accurate sales tax reporting and remittance, including GST/HST and PST.
- Knowledge of USA Sales Tax is an asset for cross-border transactions.
General Office & Administrative Support
- Perform general office duties, such as sorting mail, organizing and scanning documents.
- Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Strong proficiency in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial reconciliations.✔ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Google Chrome, and Adobe.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with various web-based platforms.
- Knowledge of CAD and USD currencies and exchange rates for accurate reconciliation.
- Knowledge of USA Sales Tax is an added advantage.

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
